Running Costs
The annual costs of running a property are obviously dependant upon the size and location of the property and the frequency of use.
In addition to water and electricity bills, you will also be liable to pay an annual tax bill, which is due at the end of the second year of owning your property. Also, if your home stands within the grounds of an urbanisation, you will be expected to pay a contribution towards the upkeep of the communal areas and facilities, such as gardens and swimming pools. These costs are divided equally between the number of properties on a development, which means the more owners there are to pay towards facilities, the cheaper the running cost.
As a rough guide, estimated annual costs can be expected to be less than £1,000 including all utilities, taxes and insurance.
