Mortgages

Spain is one of the easiest places to request a mortgage and rates are generally much lower than they are here in the UK. We can usually have an agreement in principle within 48 hours of an application being made.

The following documents are required to arrange a mortgage:

  • P60 from last year
  • Payslips for 3 months
  • Certified accounts if self employed
  • Bank statements for last 3 months
  • Credit history report
Upon completion of your property a valuation will be carried out and your bank will offer to lend you up to 70% of the value. Please note that particularly in the case of properties bought off-plan, the value could be higher than the actual sales price, as the property can appreciate in value whilst it is being built.

There are several mortgage options accessible to international clients. Of particular interest to many UK clients are the interest only options now available.
