Climate

With around 320 days of sunshine per year and an average winter temperature of 17°C and very low annual rainfall, this lovely region of Spain enjoys a wonderful all year round climate.

The combination of the salt lakes and the surrounding mountains create a unique microclimate. This climate is said to be good for sufferers of arthritis, rheumatism and asthma and has been cited by the World Health Organisation as one of the healthiest places in the world to live.

Along the coastline of the Mar Menor you will find natural mud-baths, rich in minerals that cleanse and heal the skin. Anyone suffering from conditions such as dermatitis and psoriasis will find their symptoms greatly relieved by experiencing such treatments.
